The Production Engineering and Metallurgy Department hosts the annual Google Conference (Devfest 2021)

 

      

In cooperation with the Google Developers Club - Iraq and the Research and Development Division in the Office of the Scientific Assistant, the Production Engineering and Metallugy Department / University of Technology hosted the conference activities Google's International Devfest 2021 Developer Festival on Friday 19/11/2021, an annual technical event organized by developer groups Google, with the aim of providing conferences and workshops for students, developers, professionals and anyone with an interested for technology.In the presence and patronage of the rector of University of Technology Engineering Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghabban and the presence of the Director General of the Department of Scientific Care in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ahmed Saad Aliwi and administrative assistant,

Assistant prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim and Head of the Production Engineering and Metallurgy Department, Prof. Dr. Mona Khudair Abbas and a number of fans of technology and its development.It is noteworthy that this gathering, supported by Google, is concerned with discussing the latest developments in programming from systems and applications that contribute to the development of knowledge horizons for specialists. The Devfest Forum is held annually, as Google chooses the perfect place, which is required to be an incubator for science, technology and young energies. What distinguishes this year’s 2021 forum is the University of Technology’s hosting of this event for the first time at the level of universities in Iraq after it has achieved all the requirements for success as the number

 The first in science and technology and the first incubator for innovations ,distinguished energies that emerged through the Innovative Students Club of the University of Technology. The activities of the first day of the event were:

 1-Discussions about the latest programming languages ​​in the main hall of the Department of Production Engineering and Metallurgy.

 2- A software competition in which members and students of the University of Technology will participate, which will be held in the Innovative Students Club.

 3- Presenting software projects, innovations, arts and handicrafts in the university corridors.
