The Department of Production Engineering and Metallurgy holds a scientific seminar on the development of laboratory equipment

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, our department held on Sunday morning 8/1/2017 the seminar titled "The Central Symposium for the Development of Laboratory Testing Devices and its Role in Improving Quality Standards and Laboratory Accreditation"
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer, delivered a speech in which he said: The development of the equipment in the fields of mechanical, chemical, electrical, plastic and other fields has a role in supplying quality indicators and laboratory accreditation. During the seminar to be complementary to what started the Department of Production Engineering and Metallurgy in achieving the objectives of the productive university and to achieve its objectives through the importance of laboratories and the development of its equipment. Mr. Ali Abbar Khalif, the head of the department, said: "The seminar purposes to raise the performance of scientific laboratories by applying the quality standards correctly, and also to work on introducing the correct bases to achieve the optimum success of laboratory work. He also praised the continued support by Mr. President of the University to establish specialized seminars for quality, especially in the Department of Production Engineering and Metallurgy. The seminar included two sessions, the first headed by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jassim Kazim, manager of the Center for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research at the University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Adnan Ibrahim Mohammed a teacher in the Department of Production Engineering and Metallurgy, as its Coordinator, including four lectures on the (implementation of ISO17025: in calibration and listing laboratories) Dr. Kifaya Aboud Mohammed Al-Saffar from the University of Degla College and the second lecture on "The strategic dimensions of the development of laboratory testing devices and their role in raising standards of quality and laboratory accreditation" by Dr. Abdul Khaleq Fawzi, Director of Division Quality assurance and university performance in the Department of Production Engineering and Dr. Jameel Mousa Dabbab of Mustansiriya University, Faculty of Science, and the fourth and last ("Advanced and pioneering scientific laboratories and its importance in the quality of engineering education in oil and gas specialties"). Dr. Khalid Ajami Sooker Scientific Assistant to the Head of Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology.
The second session will be chaired by Dr. Abdul Khaleq Fawzi, Dr. Mohannad Mohammed the Coordinator, first lecturer on the role of laboratory tests in the completion of urban projects, was presented by Dr. Hassanein Mohammed Hussein, manager of the Office of Scientific and Engineering Consultations at the University of Technology, and the second of "Laboratory Biological Laboratory Protocols Quality Tools and Reliability" Abdul-Redha Al-Bakri, Head of Environmental Technologies Department, Environmental Research Center, University of Technology, and Third, Development of Microscopes, by ASEL Basem Abdel-Hussain, Materials Engineering Department, University of Technology, and IV. Dr. Ahmed Adnan Abdul-Jabbar, Director of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology and the fifth (on the quality scale of the Thomson Reuter Effect in Scientific Publishing) by Dr. Rahman Ismail Mahdi from the Center for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research and Sixth The last of the advanced laboratory quality standards was delivered by Dr. Zaynab Nasser Jameel, Quality Assurance and University Performance Manager at the Department of Communications Engineering, Sanaa Abdulhadi Hafez, Chairman of the Laboratory Accreditation Committee at the Center for Energy Technology and Renewable Energies, University of Technology. Continuing Education Center honors the Engineering Department of Production and

Metallurgy

Assist. Prof. Dr. Farhad Mohamed Osman, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, presented a certificate of thanks and appreciation to the Production Engineering and Metallurgy department, delivered by the Head of the Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Abar Khalif and others, to Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdulkhalik Fawzi for the efforts of the distinguished section in the preparation and organization and the adoption of the rehabilitation and development program in the field of quality and reliability to qualify quality specialists and supervisors and cadres of laboratories of engineering and scientific departments at the University of Technology in our glue university… Through the establishment of the department for a series of specialized courses and seminars in the field of quality and laboratory accreditation and in particular the basic course tagged "GLP Practice Course and Events is the cornerstone in all laboratory activities" which will be attended by more than 130 participants from our university, which will be an important adjunct in providing the classification of our university laboratories among Iraqi universities, and will have a great impact in the development of the capabilities and skills of our university cadres in the field of management and quality assurance and laboratory accreditation. It is worth mentioning that the participation of the department for this program is one of the most important achievements of the department for the current year

Joint Cooperation between the Department and the Center of Continuing Education in the Establishment of the

Good Laboratory Practice Course

Within the framework of the qualification and development program in the field of quality and reliability for the qualification of quality specialists and supervisors and cadres of the laboratories of the engineering and scientific departments at the University of Technology, the Department of Production and Metallurgy Engineering organized in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education. The basic course marked (GLP is the cornerstone of all laboratory activities) A number of staff members participated in this session under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Abar Khalif. The proceedings of the symposium were conducted by Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Khaliq Fawzi Hammoud in the presence of more than 130 participants from our university glue. The main objective of this course was to upgrade the classification of the classification form of the laboratories of the University of Technology among the Iraqi universities, by clarifying the ten main axes for describing the practices of the good teaching laboratory to be applied to the university laboratories, at the end of the symposium, Assist. Visit the laboratories of the Production Engineering and Metallurgy department

A delegation from the Military Industries Company visited the Production Engineering and Metallurgy department on Tuesday morning, 26/12/2017 within the mechanism of cooperation concluded between the two parties, Head of the depatment Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Abar Khalif met with the next delegation in the presence of the Scientific Deputy, Dr. Aseel Hamad Abdul, Administrative Deputy, Dr. Bahaa Sami Mahdi, and the head of mining and extraction branch, Dr. Sami Ibrahim, in addition to the director of laboratories Dr. Imad Ali Hussein. The head of the department opened the meeting with a speech in which he pointed to the importance of this joint cooperation in terms of exchanging experiences and contributing in providing the company with possible solutions through scientific consultations and benefiting from the laboratories of the department in the scientific research of the company. He also appreciated the important role played by the Military Industries Company, especially in this circumstance Which requires mobilization of energies and efforts to support the army and security forces at all levels. Dr. Bahaa Sami Mahdi, the administrative Deputy, accompanied the delegation with a tour of the laboratories of the department accompanied by the director of laboratories, where a comprehensive review of the most important laboratory equipment available in the department
