A delegation from the Production Engineering and Metallurgical Department visited the headquarters of the General Company for Hydraulic Industries on Thursday 11/17/2022, where the delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Mona Khudair Abbas, Head of the Production Engineering and Metallurgical Department, was accompanied by: Dr. Muhannad Muhammad Hussein, the scientific assistant. Dr. Aseel Hamad Abd and Prof. Dr. Abdullah Farag and Dr. Mazen Ghazi and Dr. Muhannad Qusai, department rapporteur, and was in the reception of the delegation on behalf of Mr. General Manager of the General Company for Hydraulic Industries, Assistant General Manager, Engineer (Imad Karim Muhammad), and in the presence of a number of advanced cadres in the company. The meeting was held in the company's meeting room, where many important proposals were discussed and studied Paragraphs of the initial minutes of the joint cooperation agreement and fixing the appropriate amendments. The capabilities available to the company that serve cooperation between the two parties were reviewed, and the willingness of the two parties to exchange experiences and scientific and research cooperation was reviewed. The joint scientific cooperation mechanism that the two parties discussed aimed at sustaining and enhancing cooperation and integrating the capabilities of the two parties in the field of scientific research, transfer and localization of technology, and scientific cooperation in the field of conducting engineering tests for both sides in various fields, cooperation in using laboratories to conduct tests, and scientific cooperation in the field of holding specialized workshops and seminars and cooperation in The field of supporting publications, dissertations, scientific research, and the establishment of development courses. The delegation toured a number of the laboratories of the General Company for Hydraulic Industries and a number of departments to get acquainted with the specialized activities. The tour concluded at the Hydraulic Technology Center, where the laboratories owned by the center were visited, in addition to the training halls, which are equipped with all the necessary supplies that qualify them to organize development courses in the field of hydraulics.

Each of the..Dr. Mohsen Talib Muhammad Al-Yasiri, a lecturer in the extraction engineering branch of the Production Engineering and MetallurgicalDepartment, and his master's student from the University of Kufa, Sarah Muhammad Hussein, obtained a patent in the preparation and characterization of a coating Sol-gel composite film on a new titanium alloy surface and comparison with other pure coatings suitable for biomedical applications.

The team of professors of the Department of Production and Minerals Engineering won the University President Football Championship Cup

The team of professors of the Department of Production and Minerals Engineering achieved a great victory, which culminated in carrying the Cup of the President of the University of Technology for football. The final match took place at the University of Technology stadium on Tuesday morning, corresponding to 11/15/2022Between the elite of the Department of Production and Minerals Engineering and the team of the Department of Materials Engineering, the match ended with a great result for our team, with five goals against two goals. The match was attended by the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Mona Khudair Abbas, and the scientific assistant Prof. Dr. Muhannad Al-Khafaji and a number of heads of branches and professors. The match was followed by a large number of students who praised the high level and organized coordination of the team. The tournament concluded with the distribution of gold, silver and bronze medals For the three ranks and carrying the championship cup by our team members.
