A scientific visit to the Department of Training and Energy Research

   

A delegation from the Production Engineering and Metallurgy Department consisting of Dr. Adnan Ibrahim Mohammed , Dr Mohamed Medhat Hassan , Dr. Abdullah Hamad Sungal , Dr. Baqer Iyad Ahmed , Lecturer. Rabab Farhan Abbas , lecturer. Mohamed Sattar Jabbar , Lect. Diana Abdel Karim Nouri  and lecturer. Sami Abbas Hammoud, in addition to the students of the third stage of the Production Engineering Branch, visited the Electricity Training Center / Baghdad, one of the institutions of the Energy Training and Research Department, to inform the students about the units and laboratories of the center, how they work, the available devices and equipment, and how to use them. They were received by the director of the center and a number of center officials and employees who welcomed the visiting delegation .

Then the director of the center gave a brief speech at the center that included an explanation of the nature of the center’s work, its mechanism, and the training courses. There was a tour for the students of the center’s laboratories and units, which included mechanics, electricity, power, and the English language unit. In each laboratory and unit, a brief was given about the nature of its work by those in charge of it. It is open to students and answered by the center's professors.

At the end of the visit, it was agreed with the center’s administration to conduct other visits in addition to its inclusion within the departments to which the department’s students are sent for the purpose of summer training and to approach the university president with a request for the purpose of signing a memorandum of understanding between the University of Technology and the center.

A scientific visit to the Military Industries Company

   

Within the framework of cooperation between the Production Engineering and Metallurgy Department and state institutions, a delegation from the Department, which included the Head of the Department, Prof.Dr. Mona Khudair Abbas and Head of the Production Engineering Branch, Prof. Dr.Shukri Hamid Ghadeeb, accompanied by a number of faculty members both Dr. Raed Rashid , Dr. Abdullah Faraj,  Dr. Abdullah Hamad , MD. Khaleda Kazem , Lecturer . Majed Hamid, lecturer Asaad Ali and students of the fourth stage of the branch of Production Engineering.

Where the students got acquainted with a number of factories for programmed turning machines, milling, drilling and rolling, a special factory for modern welding machines, as well as laboratories for human manufacturing automation and drones.It was also agreed on a joint cooperation mechanism between the department and the company in several areas, including summer training for students, which aims to enhance scientific research and serve our dear country.

Head of Production Engineering Branch Scientific Resident for Springer International for the years 2020-2021

   

Dr. Shukri Hamid Ghadeeb, Head of the Production Engineering Branch / Production Engineering and Metallugy Department, obtained certificates  as a scientific

resident for the international magazine Springer, with 16 research papers for the year 2020 and 15 papers for the year 2021 This is  for his participation and

efforts in evaluating scientific research.

Head of the Mining Engineering and Metal Extraction Branch Supervising member of the Master's thesis discussion committee in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology

 

The Head of the Mining Engineering and Mineral Extraction Branch in the Production Engineering and Metallurgy Department,

Dr. Amjad Ibrahim Fadel, a supervisory member in the discussion of a master's student majoring in Geotechnical Engineering

( Dhafar Abdul Rahman Abbas)  

on Thursday 30/12/2021 and on the postgraduate studies hall in the department for her research tagged with:-

"MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR OF GYPSUM ROCK UNDER DIFFERENT VALUES OF MOISTURE CONTET"

“The mechanical properties of gypsum rocks under the influence of different values ​​of moisture content” The discussion

A scientific visit to the Iraqi Geological Survey

 

Within the framework of cooperation between the Production Engineering and Metallurgy   and state institutions, a delegation from the Department, which included the Head of Department, Prof. Mona Khudair Abbas and Head of the Mining Engineering and Mineral Extraction Branch, Dr. Amjad Ibrahim Fadel, accompanied by a number of my faculty members, who are both Dr. Samar Saadi Hussein . The scientific division of the department and Dr. Wafaa Kamel Mahmoud, and Dr. Zaman Karam, and Assistant prof. Mohamed Abdel Latif Ahmed, Assistant lecturer . Walid Khaled, Engineer Raghda Abdel Reda Faleh, and third-year students of the Mining Engineering and Mineral Extraction Branch visited Iraqi Geological Survey .

Where the students learned about the history of the mining sector in Iraq by visiting the Geological Museum, in addition to identifying the mechanism of conducting and documenting geological surveys and conducting all examinations on them through the commission’s laboratories for the purpose of offering them for investment and marketing.

It was also agreed to sign a joint cooperation mechanism between the department and the commission in several areas aimed at promoting scientific research and serving our dear country
