The team of professors of the Department of Production and Minerals Engineering achieved a great victory, which culminated in carrying the Cup of the President of the University of Technology for football. The final match took place at the University of Technology stadium on Tuesday morning, corresponding to 11/15/2022Between the elite of the Department of Production and Minerals Engineering and the team of the Department of Materials Engineering, the match ended with a great result for our team, with five goals against two goals. The match was attended by the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Mona Khudair Abbas, and the scientific assistant Prof. Dr. Muhannad Al-Khafaji and a number of heads of branches and professors. The match was followed by a large number of students who praised the high level and organized coordination of the team. The tournament concluded with the distribution of gold, silver and bronze medals For the three ranks and carrying the championship cup by our team members.

Each of the Dr. Sami Ibrahim Jaafar and Dr. Sami Abu Al-Noon Ajeel, two faculty members in the Metallurgical Engineering Branch of the Production Engineering and Metallurgy Department, and their PhD student Zaman Abdel-Razzaq Abdel-Wahab received a patent in the design and manufacture of a device for measuring fatigue rates Constant and time Instead of finding the relationship between stress and the number of cycles in old devices and finding the fatigue limit automatically through programming for the relationship above, the device also records the failure stress by fatigue and allows the device to use different corrosive chemical solutions. This device is useful for parts that are under constant stresses and exposed to corrosive media.

Dr. Sami Ibrahim Jaafar Al-Teachy was chosen. in the Production Engineering and Metallurgy Department is a member of the delegation that will represent Iraq in the Arab conference titled (Sustainable Development from Training to Empowerment), which will be held in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott in the near future, and was received by the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hussain Ali Jaber Al-Wasiti Wednesday April 13, 2022 in the Cabinet Advisers, the Iraqi delegation nominated to represent Iraq in this conference. The delegation consists of Dr. Hussein Ali Jaber, Vice Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference and Prof.Dr. Sami Ibrahim Jaafar, Vice Chairman of the Conference Research Arbitration Committee, and Dr. Abbas Ahmed Al-Asadi, Vice-Chairman of the Conference Recruitment Committee, and Eng.
