Celebration of the launch of national standards for the adoption of engineering education programs in Iraq

Dr. Amjad Barzan Abdul Ghafoor, a member of the Council for the improvement of the quality of engineering education in iraq participated, in the celebration of the launch of national standards for the adoption of engineering education programs in Iraq, which was set up by the apparatus of supervision and scientific evaluation\ council for improving the quality of engineering education and directly sponsored by prof.Dr. “Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa” Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The ceremony was attended by most formations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to the heads of universities and deans of the engineering faculties of government and private education. These standards are considered by the council to improve the quality of engineering education as an important step to ensure the quality of engineering education programs in government and private universities. Contribute to the graduation of qualified engineers with high values to perform their mission in building Iraq.
One of the main objectives of the Council for Improving the Quality of Education is to make radical changes in the administrative and academic systems and programs and to develop clear and long-term plans and methodologies purpose at achieve quality assurance and academic accreditation. These standards provide graduates with sufficient knowledge of the basics of specialization, and an acceptable level of professionalism, to meet the needs of the profession locally and be sufficient to meet the engineering requirements of the engineering profession at the global level

The University of Technology participates in the yearly central ceremony of the National Al-kafeel project to honor the

first students of Iraqi universities graduates

The University of Technology participated in a distinguished scientific presence in the annual central ceremony held by the holy Abbasid threshold within (the project of the National Al-kafeel of the first students of the graduates of the Iraqi universities) on Friday, 16/2/2018, the University's delegation was led by Prof.Dr. Amin Douai Thamer, the President of the University of Technology, Prof.Dr Sami Abu Al-Nun " University president deputy for administrative affairs", Prof.Dr. Mohammed Jassim Kazim "Director of the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Center" , and Asst.Prof.Dr. Ali Abbar Khalif " Head of Department Production Engineering and Metallurgy" and Asst.Prof. Mahdi Matar Hanoun "Director of the Department of Diwan Affairs", in addition to a group of professors and associate students at the university and a number of the first students at the university, including the first student on the   Department of Engineering and Production of Ali Hussein Ali.
Asured the legitimate imam of the holy Abbasid threshold, Sayyed Ahmed Al-Safi (Dam Azza), on this occasion: the fact must be before us is that this country is not built only with the hands of his sons, Yesterday very young emerged from those who believe to defend science and scientists, They wore the hearts on the shields and were able, with firm determination and strength of iron, to achieve this goal.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, "Prof.Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa" , the commitment of his ministry to employ and appoint the first graduates and holders of higher degrees if they have degrees and allocations in the budgets of the federal state, which calls on everyone to understand the circumstances and conditions of the country imposed by the post-war period. Then came the speech of the presidents of the Iraqi universities delivered on their behalf by the President of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer through which he expressed his thanks and gratitude to the " holy Abbasid threshold " for its efforts to contribute to the advancement of the educational level and advancement in various fields, including honoring the graduating students the first of the Iraqi universities, that this honorary is a clear evidence of the attention of the " holy Abbasid threshold " at science and students distinguished. Then the university presidencies were honored to make sure that the students who expressed their joy in this honor were honored for their care and attention in the results they presented to themselves, their universities and their beloved Iraq.
