The department held a specialized introductory symposium in cooperation with the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the university today, Monday 25/3/2019 titled (National Standards for Engineering Accreditation as a way towards improving engineering programs in Iraq) and included the presentation of five different working papers. The symposium was attended by the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamer al-Muhtaram and Mr. Assistant Professor of the University for Administrative Affairs Prof. Dr. Sami Abu Al-Noun and a number of respected heads of departments, as well as representatives of the Iraqi Engineers Union and members of the Iraqi Council for Engineering Accreditation who prepared the standards And a large number of interested people from other universities as well as directors of the people of quality assurance and performance evaluation at the university. The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamer Al-Muhtarm, opened the seminar with his speech in which he stressed the importance of applying the national programmatic accreditation standards for human specialties and the need to provide all requirements to obtain accreditation and emphasize the imperative to enter the global classifications The Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abbar Khleif, the esteemed, also delivered his speech in which he focused on the importance of holding such seminars and continuous cooperation in this field with the Quality Assurance Department and the need to apply national standards The Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Mrs.assestanr prof Dr. Maha Abdul Karim Hammoud, presented a working paper on the importance of implementing national standards For engineering programmatic accreditation in the implementation of government program projects, the director of the Department of Quality Assurance and Performance Assessment in the department, Dr. Muhammad Medhat Hassan, had a role in submitting a working paper on the role of academic guidance in improving the quality of university education and at the end of the seminar The esteemed head of the department presented the certificates of appreciation to the participants with worksheets, members of the scientific and preparatory committees, honorifics, and the presidents and rapporteurs of the sessions.
