The Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abbar Khalif, participated in the second meeting of the deans of engineering faculties in Iraq for the academic year

2018-2019, which was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Riad Hassan Al-Anbari. (2/2/2019). The meeting was attended by a large number of deans of the faculties of

engineering in Iraq, where they discussed all the paragraphs of the platform of the meeting and exchange views on many important points. The most important topics are the

ministry's directives regarding the application of the course system in Iraqi universities for the academic year 2019-2020 In addition to the discussion of many topics that will

advance the progress of the service for the process of education in the preliminary and higher studies in engineering colleges in the Iraqi government and private universities.

Dr. Hijran Zine El Abidine participated in the engineering branch of mining and mineral extraction / member of the board of directors of the General Company for Iraqi Cement and

with the help of Prof. Thamer Jassim Mohammed from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the fifth conference of the Association of Manufacturers of Cement in Iraq, held

in Baghdad - Al Rasheed Hotel on Thursday (2019/1/24) under the slogan:

"Cement industry in Iraq a successful model to protect the national product"

The conference was held under the patronage of the Honorable Minister of Industry and Minerals Dr. Saleh Abdullah Al-Jubouri and attended by a number of heads of national

bodies, deputies, agents, consultants, general managers and a number of specialists and specialists in the cement industry in Iraq from the public and private sectors. The

conference discussed a number of things that serve the national industry and the cement industry in particular its public and private sectors and the most prominent achievement

of the achievements in the cement sector in Iraq and the obstacles and challenges facing the industry.

The graduate follow-up unit / Production Engineering Branch held a workshop on "Modern Welding Techniques in Advanced Industries" in the hall of Dr. Ibrahim Mahmoud Mansour on Thursday, 13/12/2018. The workshop was attended by a number of teachers and students of the fourth stage. .lecturer Dr. Mohamed Medhat Hassan, where the lecture included a presentation of modern welding techniques such as welding, welding, welding and uses in advanced industries such as aircraft, trains and cars. The lecturer also pointed to the methods of hybrid welding and its role in increasing production efficiency and expanding the base of materials that can be sold. The staff of the production engineering branch organized a scientific visit to the public firm for food products (factories of the Ma'amoon), one of the formations of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals on Wednesday, 28/11/2018 for students of the fourth stage and a number of 23 students and the presence of each of the teaching staff assistant prof Dr.Maan Abed, assistant prof Dr. Shukri Hamid, asnt prof. Dr.sista Abbas Fadel, assistant prof.Dr. Raed Rashid, assistant lecturer Rabab Farhan, lecturer Adel Shabib, assistant lecturer Ahmed Bassel, assistant lecture Majid Hamid.
The site was visited (factories Ama'amon) one of the factories specialized in the production of solid fats, liquid oils, soap and detergents of all kinds and cosmetics. The liquid detergent department, specialized in the production of different types of shampoo, Toothpaste and shaving cream Adam and cream Balsam, also visited the plastic section, which specializes in the manufacture of packaging and wrappers of the products Alzhahi and shampoo and minor At the end of the tour was visiting the Department of the manufacture of bottles Alzahi and shampoos. The head of the planning and follow-up department, Mrs. Anaam Mahmoud Mahmoud, accompanied the department heads to discuss the nature of the company's factories and to view its important centers. A bouquet of flowers was presented by the department to the company expressing thanks and gratitude and taking a souvenir picture.

Department of Production Engineering and metallurgy celebrated on Wednesday, 21/11/2018, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs prof. Dr. Sami Abu Al-Nun Ajil al- and under the supervision of the head of the department assistant prof Dr. Ali Abar Khalifa, who opened the ceremony with a speech in which he explained the magnificence of the noble Prophet and the sanctity of the honorable anniversary that our department has always maintained annually. Assistant lecturer Asaad Hassan Lefta addressed poem of which photographed the events of auspicious birth and concluded the celebration by presenting a variety of food table among the audience which prepared for this fragrance occasion.

The Industrial Engineering Branch held a workshop on how to write research projects for the students of the ending stages in the hall of the late prof. Jassem Al-Hayani on the morning of Wednesday (2018/11/21) where the workshop included three lectures, the first lecture addressed by assistant prof. Dr.Loma Adnan Hameed entitled: (Components of writing the research project for the students of the final grades) followed by the second lecture was about (the synthesis of research) addressed by prof. Dr. Sawsan Sabeeh Abdul, and addressed the third lecture (Documentation of sources using the Lord) by prof. Dr. Alaa Al-Din Hassan Qasim and after the completion of the lectures were opened to debate and ask questions by present students.
